Why is enforcement of HSE policies and procedures critical?

Enforcing HSE policies and procedures is essential because it demonstrates an organization’s commitment to safety. When an organization actively enforces health, safety, and environmental protocols, it sends a clear message to employees and stakeholders that it prioritizes the well-being of its workforce and the environment. While awareness of consequences can be a part of enforcement, simply ensuring that employees know consequences does not necessarily promote a culture of safety.
